Oh yeah...Thanksgiving!
Pete and I got to spend Thanksgiving with both of our families. On Thursday morning we went over to my parents' house and helped to decorate, cook and set up. We then had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at 1:00.
We got to hang out with my extended family for a bit with all the crazy kids running around. Pete played some football in the backyard and my dad pulled out his homemade rocket launcher and let all the kids make their own rockets and then launch them. Fun stuff!
At 4:00 we left my parents' house for St. George where Pete's extended family was celebrating Thanksgiving. We got to his aunt Alyce's house just in time to help plan the next day's events and I think we even got a second round of pies.
Friday morning I went black Friday shopping with Jessica (sis-in-law), Michelle (mother-in-law) and Boofie (Pete's grandma). It was my first time ever going black Friday shopping and it was fun! We shopped from about 4:30-9:30 and even though I only bought a pair of earrings it was so fun to be out in the heat of it all. :)
We spent the rest of the weekend relaxing in St. George. We did some hiking in snow canyon--beautiful! And perfect for an after-thanksgiving activity after eating so much. We also saw Moneyball, which Pete LOVED! I liked it too. Pete just really liked it.
We had too much fun I didn't even take any pictures. Although...I know at least one person's iPhone snapped a picture of us at some point. I will have to see if I can find it.
First time I went black friday shopping was when grandma wanted to buy you girls a special present and it was like 75% off. That was a long time ago and was not too bad. Now I'm a lot older, hate the crowds and love to sleep through it all. Sounds like you had a fun Thanksgiving. Love you,
