10 and 11 Months for Peter

There weren't any huge milestones for Peter during these months but he just continued to progress and be a happy little guy. He did get a case of strep throat during April and that was a rough flashback to his colic days when I could not set him down without some serious screaming. But he overcame it and got back to his happy self ready to explore the world.
Peter loves to see himself in the phone! His cheesy little grin is still my favorite.
Whenever I need to keep him happy (this time was a doctor's appointment), I just pull out that phone and let him look at himself. Works like a charm.
Peter isn't necessarily a picky eater but he is particular about how and what he eats based on his mood. My favorite is when he will just grab huge handfuls of food and shove it in. Then he just looks off (like out the window) while he chews until he is ready for the next handful. Beans were probably his favorite food during this time.

During these months, being more mobile, Peter has started to play with and follow Afton around a little more. He seriously adores her. Whenever I think he is going to get mad because she is dragging him (literally) around or is too in his face, he surprises me by just enjoying it. Afton can rarely do wrong in his eyes!
Peter is still a Momma's boy but really does enjoy Dad too. As long as he knows Mom isn't leaving him.
Peter is all about expectations. If he thinks you are going to do one thing and you don't follow through he will act as if his world is over! This night I went to the rocking chair (like I normally did before nursing him) but decided I wanted a picture of him in his "truly scrumptious" jammies. It was obviously NOT OKAY with him.

Peter is happiest when he is out and about. He gets stir crazy at home unless he's got new things to look at. Which, since we moved to a new house, has made him more content at home for a while!
He loves feeling like a big kid!

Other mentionables:
-Peter said "Afton" when he was 11 months. Besides mimicking "hi," it was his first word!
-Peter does not like brushing his teeth (he grew one bottom molar in addition to his 7 front teeth during this time). In an attempt to make him enjoy it more, we will hand him the toothbrush to "help" but he just throws it. Every time.
-Peter LOVES to be chased. He perfected his crawling during this time and learned that chasing games are his favorite! He especially loves to run away when you are trying to change his diaper!
-We like to have dance parties at our house and Peter has really started enjoying them. He likes to move his arms and watch Afton and Mom dance!
