Easter 2015

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with family. We enjoyed listening to general conference and eating yummy food.

Last week at the grocery store a lady stopped and asked Afton if the Easter Bunny was coming to her house and since that time Afton started talking about it daily. She got a little Easter basket with a couple of play skirts I sewed (since she is obsessed with wearing dresses on a daily basis) and then some fruit snacks and toe nail polish. We tried to not over do the candy since we knew she would be getting some from her loving grandparents!

After having a little easter egg hunt at our house on Sunday morning we headed over to Grandma Connie Jean's and Grandpa Dr.'s house (Sundwall side) and had a wonderful breakfast and a little egg hunt with Aunt Olivia in their back yard. We then watched the first session of general conference there and Peter and I were able to enjoy listening since there were so many hands willing to take her and play with her.

That afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa Millar's house and had an easter egg hunt in the backyard with cousins. By this time Afton was a pro and she gathered a lot of eggs! After a wonderful, traditional lunch we found Afton playing in the other room with her cousins. Except that while her cousins were playing she made a disaster of their easter baskets and was scarfing down as much of their candy as she could. Whoops! Luckily, she really isn't that fast of an eater and while she made a big mess I don't think she ate more than a couple handfuls of candy. She crashed for a nap and slept through the whole afternoon session of conference that day.

It was nice to be with family and have Peter around a lot (since he takes Sundays off from studying). We feel very blessed to have all that we do and know that it is only through our Savior, Jesus Christ that we can have so much hope in our daily lives. He lives! What a beautiful thing to know.
Over the weekend we asked Afton if she wanted to get ice cream and she said she wanted pink so that is what she got. When it's up to dad, this girl gets spoiled!
Blowing bubbles from her easter egg hunts early Monday morning in her pajamas because she just couldn't wait any longer!

  1. How does she stay so tiny when she's always eating such yummy things?? That ice cream looks scrumptious. Love you all!
