Halloween 2016

Since Halloween ended last year, Afton has been set on being Jane from Mary Poppins. I thought for sure she would change her mind over the next year but she was still excited about the idea so we went with it. The hardest part was figuring out the Mary Poppins part of the costume because Jane and Michael Banks don't really make any sense without Mary Poppins. But Afton and I had a fun time using our creativity and visiting the dollar store a few times to come up with the costume. Our friends were Mary Poppins and Bert last year so we borrowed some chimney sweep items from them to complete our look!

We dressed up for Boofie's party all out and then I got dressed up with the kids again on Halloween for trick-or-treating. Pete had to work a little later but he was able to join us. Pete and Michelle came up with Olivia and we had a fun time going to our old neighborhood (Boofie & Granpa's cul-de-sac).

About the day after this Halloween Afton decided she wanted to be Belle and Dad can be the Prince and Mom can be Mrs. Potts and Peter can be Chip. We'll see if that idea sticks around for a whole year, too.
