February Highlights

For Valentine's Day Pete and I stuck to our traditions we started last year. Ironically I was sick this year (last year he was sick) so we made it pretty low-key, again. Just the way we like it.

The day included love letters to each other. A purple rose (for me). A homemade meal. A love potion smoothie. And the traditional Vday table cloth. We got to read what each other wrote last year  and write a new little thing that we love about each other.

Surprisingly, the evening did not include dessert. I was not feeling up to making anything but I had planned to make homemade Oreos. So a day or two later, after I was feeling better, we had those. And I was glad I waited until I had a proper appetite to enjoy them...mmmm.

While I was sick I would cough a lot at night and Pete had trouble sleeping. I didn't even realize I was doing it so he would just get up in the middle of the night and move to the couch. I would have never known if I hadn't seen this every morning. The poor guy.
After too many nights of this, we are happy to be back in the same bed again.

Pete and I attended his uncle Jon's wedding during February. We were so happy to see Jon and his bride, Heather, so in love and get to share their wonderful, beautiful wedding day with them.

My cousin also got sealed in the temple during February to his wife and sweet little girl. It was so fun to celebrate their wonderful day.

We felt the love this month.

In other news...my little dance class of 4-6 year old girls competed in their very first dance competition on Saturday. I am proud to say they ranked 1st place and received an overall award in their division for a high score! They did such a good job and were so cute. I sure do love teaching dance.

  1. Sounds like quite the month! Congrats to the 4-6 year old dance class. They are so cute at that age. Would have loved to have seen that. Love to you both,
