R.I.P. Preston

Right in between moving, Peter was in a car accident in which he was rear-ended and propelled forward into the Escalade. It wasn't pretty. Thankfully, Peter was only sore from the accident with no permanent damage.

The civic (named Preston), however, did not fare so well. It was a long process and we are still waiting on the insurance to come through, but the father of the boy who ran into Peter has been so gracious and helpful! We feel very blessed that it has worked out like it has.

Peter has been in two accidents in the last two years, both of which totaled the car. But each time it has worked out better than we could have imagined. We are so glad Peter is ok and that Afton was not in the car with him.

We will miss Preston! When we bought this car after the last accident, we thought it would last us through medical school and beyond. So we are sad to have it gone so abruptly.
