Helping dad string the lights on the Christmas tree
Bundled up for Zoo Lights!
Sitting in the eagle's nest at Zoo Lights.
At the Festival of Trees with Grandma Millar and the Wirigs. Bryce gave Afton his candy cane that he got from sitting on Santa's lap.
Afton has not sat on Santa's lap the whole season although we have seen him many times. I just know it would be a freakout and I determined it isn't worth it. She doesn't really understand Santa Claus fully so she isn't too disappointed. Although she did see him on Sunday up close and liked watching him from a distance! When we ask her what she wants from Santa she now says "Candy!" and "Present!" For a while it was "cake!"
Dreaming of a white Christmas. Ha!
Wearing the Christmas tree ornaments as earrings
Entranced by the Nutcracker display at Mimi and Grandpa's house.
This is a bad picture. But dressing up as "Mary" is a daily ritual in our house these days. I love to watch Afton learn about the story of the Nativity and the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Wearing her new Christmas dress to church on the Sunday before Christmas. She felt so special and beautiful! Afton LOVES church and asks nearly every day if she can wear a dress and go to church!
Playing with the train at Great Grandpa and Grandma Sundwall's house with Olivia and Lily!
Dad took Afton sledding for the first time in Mimi and Grandpa's back yard. I thought she would hate getting all bundled up but she loved it. She lasted two runs down the hill and was ready to call it quits. (Truthfully she was ready to call it quits after the first ride down, she cried on the second but afterword said she had fun)
We made gingerbread houses at Grandma and Grandpa Millar's house and Afton was so good at putting the candies on the roof. She loved licking her fingers the most though because Grandma Millar makes YUMMY frosting!
We, of course, had to visit temple square! It was PACKED!
